Employment Opportunities

Interested in serving with Wycliffe:
Look over the opportunities to serve on this page and then fill out our online form to let us know a little about you.

Wanted Immediately:
Fifty Caribbean men and women of exemplary Christian character. Good education. Competent in any of the 185 listed positions listed below. Not afraid to work hard under difficult conditions in dangerous parts of the world.

Application:
Wycliffe, in cooperation with your pastor, will thoroughly evaluate your character, doctrinal orthodoxy, education, and competence. Upon acceptance, you will be oriented and trained by Wycliffe to excel in the area of your skill and interest.

Locations of Service:
Although there are a number of positions open in the Caribbean, you will also be given the opportunity to work in almost any country in the world, joining the 5,700-member international Wycliffe team. You will need to be prepared to travel and work under difficult conditions, often far from friends and relatives. You may be asked to join a team of co-workers consisting of people from several other nations.

Risks Involved:
You may be working in nations where the majority religions teach their adherents that as true believers it is their duty and privilege to kill an active Christian. With deteriorating world conditions, the possibility that you will be martyred is increasing. In accepting an assignment with Wycliffe, you run the risk of being persecuted, imprisoned for your faith, kidnapped and held for ransom, or possibly killed. You could also see these things happening to your national co-workers, especially if you are working in hard-to-access countries. You may also be working in countries where diseases such as HIV/AIDS are of epidemic proportions, and where intestinal parasites, malaria, and hepatitis are as common as the flu. That you will be exposed to and possibly infected and suffer from at least some of these diseases is sure.

Financial Recompense:
Wycliffe will set a ministry expense and salary level adequate for your situation. Wycliffe pays no salary, simply forwarding to you such funds as your church or other personal financial supporters send in, less a small percentage for administrative purposes.

Rewarding Work:
You will have the opportunity to work with some of the most committed men and women on earth. In helping to provide the Word of God in the heart language of every person in the world, you will be active in the most foundational task in missions today.

Final Reward:
If you choose to accept an assignment with Wycliffe and carry it out to the glory of God, you will someday hear the Lord of the Harvest say, "Well done, good and faithful worker; enter into the joy of your Lord."
