Anthony & Icilda deMercado

Anthony & Icilda de Mercado serve jointly as Assistant Coordinators for Language Development for Deaf Communities in the Caribbean. They have worked for over 20 years with a Christian school for the deaf. It is estimated that there may be up to 400 sign languages used worldwide representing 10% – 20% of the remaining Bible translation needed globally. They began their term of service in Haiti in November 2014 where they will serve among deaf Haitians, in literacy and training.
